The United Nations Ombudsman and Mediation Services ("UNOMS") is hiring a Regional Ombudsman based in Santiago. The search will fill a vacancy left by Francisco Espejo Elgueta who moved to the World Health Organization earlier this year. The position will provide informal conflict resolution services to UN regional staff and report to the UN Ombudsman Shireen L. Dodson through the UNOMS Chief of Staff.
Applicants must have advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a relevant area or equivalent experience; and at least ten years of professional experience, including five years at the international level. For this post, English and Spanish fluency is required. Knowledge and experience of the region and experience working in the United Nations or other similar international organization are desirable.
