Queen's University Adds an Ombuds

In October, Heather Trojek was hired as an Associate Ombudsperson for the public research university in Kingston, Ontario. She joins Queen's Ombuds, Lavonne Hood, and expands the capacity of the Office of the University Ombudsperson, which provide services to students, staff, faculty, and community members.

Trojek brings two decades of administrative law and social justice experience to the position. She has worked as a mediator, adjudicator, advocate, prosecutor, investigator, and trainer. Most recently, she was appointed as a Vice Chair at the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Licence Appeal Tribunal of Ontario. Trojek graduated from the University of Western Ontario. (LinkedIn.)
