Phyllis White: Former Ombuds at University of Massachusetts Amherst
Phyllis A. White, who served as Assistant Ombudsman at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, passed on August 30, 2025. She earned her Master's degree in Higher Education Administration at UMass Amherst and she later worked in the Ombuds office. Her work in social services culminated as Programs Director at the Franklin/Hampshire Career Center in Northampton, from which she retired in 2016. (MassLive Obituary.)
RIP. On the plus side, as long as Tom lives and publishes this blog, we will all be remembered as we pass over to whatever fate awaits deceased ombuds.
