Job Posting: Johns Hopkins University

The private research university in Baltimore, Maryland is hiring its first Ombudsperson for all PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. (Two years ago, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine created an Ombuds Program for its medical students with faculty volunteering for an Ombuds panel.) The new full-time position will practice to IOA standards and report to the Vice Provost for Graduate and Professional Education.

Applicants must have a PhD, JD, or the equivalent, and at least five years of relevant experience. An advanced certificate in mediation and knowledge of higher education and research environments strongly preferred. Applications may be submitted until the position is filled. (JHU Jobs.)

Updated 12/3/20: At the request of JHU, the starting salary range was removed here and from the public posting. The pay will now be "commensurate with experience."
