Registration Opens for 2019 Summer Academic Ombuds Meeting

Registration is now open for the 2019 Summer Academic Ombuds meeting at DePaul University on June 24-25.  As in years past, the "New Academic Ombuds Workshop" will be offered on the first part of the day on June 24. 

New Academic Ombuds Workshop
Monday, June 24, 2018

A full day workshop for those new to the college and university Ombuds Profession. Workshop topics will include history of the profession, professional ethics and standards of practice, working with consultees, appropriate record-keeping, addressing trends and patterns of problematic behavior, relationships with other campus entities, and additional topics identified by participants


Registration fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch, Monday evening reception, and materials.

2018 Summer Academic Ombuds Meeting

Monday, June 24 to Tuesday, June 25, 2018

We will begin with a Welcome Discussion and Reception the evening of June 24th. The reception will include hors d’ oeuvres, soft drinks, and a cash bar. If you are planning to attend the reception, please include a reception ticket with your registration (Free) so that we know how many will attend. The June 25th meeting will include topics such as Whistleblowing, Title IX, Restorative Justice, and more. Time will also be provided for conversations on Hot Topics and Ombuds Relationships.


Registration fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch, Monday evening reception, and materials.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Union League Club of Chicago, conveniently located at 65 West Jackson Blvd., only a few blocks from our meeting location. The rate for meeting participants is $202.80/night, which includes taxes and fees.
