University of Iowa Announces New Faculty Ombuds

Meenakshi (Gigi) Durham has been selected as the next faculty Ombudsperson to join the Iowa Office of the Ombudsperson. She will replace Rachel Williams and serve a part-time, four-year term. Durham has been a faculty member since 2000 and is currently the Director of the Nonfiction Writing Program and a Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication with a joint appointment in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality studies. 

Durham earned Bachelor's degrees from the University of West Florida and Women's Christian College, a Master's degree from Louisiana State University, and a PhD from University of Florida. (Iowa Now.)
